Yesterday, sometime after 12:50 pm local time, Triumvir Collin S. was taken hostage by the terrorist group known only as the ‘Lisdists’. While the exact purpose of the kidnapping is unclear, there is an ongoing investigation by the Domestic Security and Intelligence Service (DSIS).
Triumvir Collin S. was taken to a holding facility, and kept there for over three hours until a liberation group from the Special Force managed to free Triumvir Collin, thanks to messages snuck out by Triumvir Collin, detailing his location and condition. There are still being details released but, based on the information already available, it seems that the Lisdists were attempting to intimidate the Government of the URT, but as the Triumvirate said in a statement released after the liberation of Triumvir Collin: “the spirit of the people of the United Republics cannot be broken, especially by such a band of disorganized, unruly bandits as the Lisdists. This event proved nothing more than the determination of these terrorists, to destroy and trample the freedom and sovereignty of the people of the United Republics.”
Triumvir Collin was not harmed, but as he said in an interview; “[the captors] were very rude, and abusive. [They] would watch my every move, including following me to the bathroom.” DSIS has not released a statement on their findings yet but it would seem that it is safe to say that we have not seen the last of the Lisdists.
